At The Heritage all our rooms are AA 4-star quality and spacious, with en suite facilities, TV, telephone, WiFi, bottled water,  tea- and coffee-making facilities - not to mention the home-made biscuits! After a good night’s rest, you can select from a varied menu for breakfast, which is cooked to order for you to an excellent standard (in 2007 it achieved the Taste of The West Silver Award).

At The Heritage Hotel and Restaurant we cater for Couples, Family Groups, Individuals, Dog-owners, Parties, Functions and Wedding Receptions, with your total satisfaction with both our restaurant and accommodation service being our motivation.

Our visitors relish the country and coastal walks straight from our door, appreciate the off-road parking and out-of-town relaxed pace and enjoy the tranquil and picturesque village setting - a refreshing change after the frenzy of a busy day, or a long journey.

Our location, being within walking distance of the South West Coastal Path parallel with Chesil Beach, and the Fleet lagoon - both features of the world heritage site, the Jurassic Coast - is fantastic for fossil hunting and nature lovers.  We are also well-located for touring Thomas Hardy country, and for a spot of shopping in several of the area’s major towns, from Lyme Regis to the West, to Bournemouth further East.  Weymouth and its sandy beach is just three miles away, while Dorset’s market town, Dorchester, is just eight miles inland.  These varied attractions, along with our superb food and genuine hospitality, are just a few of the many things which make staying at The Heritage a pleasure.
