Hotel Restuarant Weymouth

West Dorset is steeped in history and beauty and offers endless opportunities for discovery and relaxation.

The unique 17-mile long Chesil Beach which forms the natural inland Fleet  (above), the numerous sites made famous by Thomas Hardy, even "lighthearted" attractions like the Teddy Bear Museum in Dorchester... your visit to the area will not seem long enough.

What better excuse is needed to plan your next visit before leaving...

Weymouth's popularity as a seaside resort is attributed to King George 111 who came to bathe in the sea as a health cure for his nervous disorder. Between 1789 and 1805 the King and members of the Royal Family spent 14 holidays in Weymouth. The beach is superb and consists of sand which sweeps around the bay changing to shingle along the extended promenade. Weymouth's famous sand modeller always attracts interest.
